Glossybox: August

Hello my lovelies,

I loved my Love Me Beauty subscription box so much, I decided to look into getting another one and Glossy Box was one that kept popping up. Its one I've seen on many beauty bloggers feeds as the packaging it comes in is so photogenic, I decided to do a little more research on it. Each month you get a pink (this month was blue) box which contains 5 beauty products for £10 + p&p. This was my first box and I was so happy with the products as I received products from brands which were all completely new to me.

Products I received in this months box:

1. Mixa Restoring Body Lotion RRP £6.49 - When I saw this in my box I was excited to try this as I have eczema. Finding creams that help sooth my skin is always a challenge so I was keen to give this a go. This cream made my skin smooth however it didn't really help my eczema, the skin was itchy but it never made a difference. Though for a body lotion is worked well and make my skin nice and soft.

2. Model Launcher Sun Safari Bronzer RRP £21.00 - I love bronzers, they makes you look so healthy and this 'Talc free formula' makes you look sun kissed. This bronzers looks so beautiful and natural. With a hint of sparkle, you also get a highlighted complexion. I really like this bronzer and it blends well.

3.Sport Fx Face Mist RRP £5.99 - I've only tried this once but it felt cooling on my face and helped my make up last however I have other priming waters which do a better job. Though for the price its good however I have only tried this once so its just a first impression.

4. Rodial Suede Lips in 'Big Apple' RRP £22 - Absolutely love this colour, its such a wearable day time colour. The formula has vitamin E in it however I feel the formula can be a little drying which can be fixed with lip balm first. I looked into these and the colour range is fab. If you draw round the lips and then fill in from the corners in, the colour pigment is more equal.

5. Valquer Ice Hair Total Repair RRP £14.99 - I've never tired a hair mask before so I was excited to try this. It was so weird when it went on it was cold and I left it for 3-5 minutes. When I washed it off and dried my hair, the shine and the feel of my hair was amazing. I will definitely look into getting more hair masks as this one worked wonders.

6. Purelei Aloha bracelet/hair bobble - This was a little extra this month which was a nice surprise. Its much prettier to wear this on your wrist than the big black bobbles that cut off you circulation.

I'm so happy with this months box, I think glossybox is a great way to try different brands and get a little beauty treat very month. I believe subscription boxes are a great way to explore the beauty world.

Have you ever received a GlossyBox? Do you like subscription boxes?

Thanks for reading.

Where to go: Edinburgh

Hello everyone,

If you follow my Instagram you will probably know I attended the 'Edinburgh Fringe' and as always it was an experience. I just love Edinburgh as a city, the castle is gorgeous and the streets are always packed when its the fringe. There are also some gorgeous little shops which are so unique and quirky I just had to share them with you in case you ever find yourself wandering the streets in Edinburgh. The weather in Scotland is so unpredictable but luckily we managed to get a day that was sunny with just a little breeze so I opted for a warm but chic outfit as I'm always cold.
Jacket- New Look
Turtle Neck- Pretty Little Thing
Jeans- Pretty Little Thing
Shoes and Bag- Matalan

I have to say how cute is the background, we happened to stumble upon it after we went down a close on the Royal Mile and I thought it was just the cutest.

Where to go:

The fringe is full of wonderful and unique people and the Street Typist is certainly one of them. While walking up the Royal Mile we saw a man sitting typing away on a old fashioned typewriter and I was intrigued. You gave him a subject, phrase or word and within 5 minutes he would have created a little story personalised to you. I asked for something about 'Hannah Fashion Blogger' and he came up with the most incredible story. If you are interested in his work you can check out his website www.street-typist.com or check out his twitter/Instagram @street_typist. I think this would make such a unique and thoughtful gift for someone. If you wish to read my story 'Fashionable Hannah' it is below.

Of course, after we wandered about for a while, we decided to go have a wee look at the different shops in Edinburgh. The first place we headed was 'Diagon House' the Harry Potter themed shop located on Victoria Street. It was absolutely amazing and if you're a Potter fan you would love it. It has everything from chocolate frogs to the dark lords wand. It is definitely a place to go while in Edinburgh.

Whilst walking about I spotted another shop which caught my eye. It was called 'Pie in the Sky' located on Cockburn Street I believe. Its a clothes shop that has some lovely stuff but what screamed my name was the gorgeous floral low plunge dress they had for sale. It was gorgeous. So if your a fashion fanatic, this is a place for you.

Another gorgeous wee shop I wanted to tell you about is Liquorice Tree Gifts again located on Cockburn Street. This cute little shop sells the most quirky and unique gifts. Whilst in, I purchased two beautiful Thank you cards that were so cute. The staff were also so lovely. If you want to check out there stuff visit www.liquoricetree.com or check out there Instagram account @liquoricetreegiftsedinburgh

I certainly had a fabulous day in Edinburgh, its just such a fun city. I hope to be back very, very soon.

Have you ever been to Edinburgh? Whats your favourite city?

Thanks for reading.

How to wear: Bold and Bright

Hey everyone,

I've always been one who would shy away from bright colours and always played it safe by wearing leggings. While out shopping I spied pair of red paper bag trousers which caught  my eye, this is how I started to love bold and bright colours. These are three outfits I have worn out and about so I decided to show you how easy it is to rock bright colours and incorporate them into your everyday wardrobe.

Outfit 1-
Jumper- Berska
Jeans- Primark
Heels- New look
Wristlet- Kate Spade

I love cobalt blue. Its a colour I've always liked but was too scared to wear but when this jumper was on sale in Berska I couldn't resist it. I think this jumper makes such a statement and paired with black jeans and heels, it makes the jumper the star of the outfit.

Outfit 2-
Top- Pretty little thing
Trousers- Lefties
Heels- New Look
Wristlet- Kate Spade

These are the paper bag trousers which made me start wearing more colours. The red goes so nicely with the black and creates an edgy look yet there is hint of class. Again, the red makes such a statement and the colour stands out.

Outfit 3-
Dress-Zara
Heels- Small Spanish boutique in Murcia

The detail on this dress makes it so different and the colour makes it a stand out piece. The sliver rings at the top of the shoulders also gives the look a edgy feel. A pair of cobalt blue heels would look amazing with this dress as yellow + cobalt blue= heaven.

Do you like to wear bright colours? What's your favourite look?

If you recreate any of the looks tag #whathannahwore on Instagram and I'm sure to see it....

Thank you so much for reading

Love Me Beauty: August

Hiya everyone,

I have recently received my Love Me Beauty subscription box for the month of August, this was my first month receiving it so I didn't really know what to expect. Every month you get 60 credits to choose makeup, skincare or haircare of your choice. All the products cost a certain amount of credits ranging from 5 to 30 so you can different amount of products each month depending on what you choose. The best thing is new products are added monthly and they stock amazing brands such as Kat Von D, Laura Mercier and Make up Forever which gives you lots of opportunity to trial and experiment with different brands. It also gives you a makeup bag each month with a different design which is good quality and super cute.
Products I chose this month:

1. Kat Von D Lock it Translucent Setting Powder 1.4g- I personally don't use powders a lot as I prefer the dewy look compared to a matte one however when I saw this product could be chosen I decided to give it a go. It is a very light powder which makes the skin feel super smooth. I tried to bake with it (baking is not my thing which I have never done before) but it seemed to brighten my under eyes and helped the concealer not to crease. I don't know if I would purchase the full size of this product as matte isn't my thing but I am glad I got to try it.This product cost me 25 credits.

2.Buxom Lash Mascara 6ml- When I saw a mascara I was excited as I love to try new ones and when this one said it would separate and define my lashes I was hooked. The brush has a variety of short and long bristles which definitely separate my lashes. It also makes my lashes extremely black which defines them even more. I would definitely purchase the full size of this product as the different in my lashes is incredible. This product cost me 15 credits,

3. Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Cathedral 1.2g- WOW this colour is gorgeous! It will definitely be my autumn go to. Cathedral is a stunning matte red toned brown that is just darker to MACs velvet teddy. It feels lovely on the lips and doesn't dry them out. The packaging of these lippies are so cute as well, it is like black studs all the way round the tube with the Kat Von D logo. I would look into getting these lippies as there is 39 colours in the range and they feel nice on the lips. The lipstick cost me 20 credits.

As well as these fabulous products, I also got a super cool make up bag with my monthly subscription. This months design has lipsticks and lips all over which looks super cute is is great for photos.

Monthly it costs £10 plus £3.95 P&P or you can sign up for a period of 3 months for £9 plus P&P or 6 months for £8 plus P&P. I think this is a great price for such high end product and the super cute make up bag which comes with your order every month.

If you are interested in signing up to Love Me Beauty, I have a discount code which gives you 30 extra credits on your first order which means you can get an extra product or two. My code is HANNA2337026 (this code is case sensitive). For more information about the subscription check out https://www.lovemebeauty.com/.

I hope you enjoyed seeing what was in my Love Me Beauty bag for the month of August, I cant wait to see what products are up for next month. If you want to see the quick look I created using some of my new products head over to my Instagram @whathannahworex to see the video.

Dress for Less: Zendaya Coleman

Celebrities are ALWAYS stylish, from causal looks to red carpet events. I always love what they wear however I don't like the expensive price tag attached to most of the clothes. That is why I was inspired to recreate iconic looks on a budget so I could get the look for less. Trying to think who's looks I wanted to recreate was hard because so many celebrities wear amazing outfits. I finally thought about who's style I liked the most and Zendaya came to my head. Her red carpet looks are always so versatile. Her style is so edgy and different yet can be so chic which is why I thought her outfits would be perfect to recreate.

Outfit #1
Knit Jumper Dress-Boohoo in Nude
Heels-Asos
Earrings-Boohoo

In total to recreate this look it would cost £50 excluding shipping whereas Zendaya's exact pieces would set you back by £770. I think this look is super simple yet elegant. It can eailsy be recreated due to how simple it is and you can also add to it which makes it even better.

Outfit #2
Heels-Asos

I absolutely love this look. It is so elegant yet the leather look gives it a edge. Unfortunately I couldn't find a jumpsuit like this however the top is similar and black culottes would pair nicely with it. I would just accessorise with a sliver necklace just like Zendaya did. If you bought the same clothes and jewellery you would be out of pocket by nearly £10,000 however to recreate it is cost just under £50.

Outfit #3
Top-Boohoo
Skirt-Boohoo
Shoes-Asos

I love how the skirt is the eye catcher in this outfit and the rest of the outfit is very plain to let it shine. Definitely super easy to recreate. I couldn't find the price of Zendaya's actual pieces, though if you recreate the look it would only cost you £50.

Recreating looks is definitely the way to look fashionable and not break the bank. With all the amazing clothing brands such as boohoo or prettylittlething, you can easily create looks on a budget(they also always have deals on which is a bonus). If you have any looks you want me to try and recreate feel free to email me or tag me on Instagram, and I will happily try.

Do you like Zendaya's Style? Which is your favourite look that you would recreate? Do you like the 'Dress for Less'?

Favourite Summer Make up Products

Hello everyone Hannah Here!

Since summer is here even in Scotland, I decided to pick my favourite products for the season.

Products above

1.NYX Intense butter gloss in 'Tres Leches' £6 - This shade is a gorgeous dusty rose with looks beautiful with a tan. I think you always need a gloss as it makes a plain look a bit more put together. This gloss is also meant to be a dupe for Kylie Cosmetics Koko K which costs $15 USD so defiantly a good alternative.

2. Soap and Glory Thick & Fast Mascara £10.50 - In the summer I like to wear little make up as possible but a coat of mascara just opens up your eyes. This mascara is meant to lengthen, curl and define as it defiantly does all three.

3.Eyeko Brow Gel £18 - This product is great for the days you need to tame those brows but can't be bothered filling them in. It is a tinted gel that keeps your brows in place all day and also give the impression of fuller brows due to the tint. Even if your not wanting to wear any make up, you could brush this over your brows and you'd be good to go.

4.NYX Matte Bronzer in 'Medium' £8 - I wanted to find a bronzer for summer that would warm up my face and make me look sun kissed, the nyx one certainly does the trick. It blends so easily and gives you a healthy looking complexion.

5.Bobbi Brown Sun Kissed Gold Eye Palette -Unfortunately I can not find a link anywhere to purchase this palette as it was limited addition created for last summer :(. However this is the perfect palette to travel due to how small it is and the golden shades make it an amazing summer palette. It also has a matte black shade which is always a bonus.

6.Wet n Wild Makeup Stick Highlight in 'When The Nude Strikes' £7.99 - This highlight is great to give a neutral glow but is also very buildable. It is a gorgeous champagne colour and blends out easily with either your finger or a make up sponge. I think highlighter is a must for summer to give your skin that healthy looking glow.

7.NYX Tame and Frame Brow Pomade in 'Brunette' £6 - Sometimes I do want to have a dramatic brow and this does the job perfectly. The only thing I find is the product can get really dry in the tube but a little bit of oil sorts this out. 'Brunette' is the shade for me but finding my shade was hard, I started with chocolate but that wasn't right for me. However as it is a dupe for ABH Dipbrow Pomade costing only £6 you cant go wrong.

8.Sephora Honey Lip Scrub $6 USD - While on holiday I popped into the local Sephora and found these lip balms/scrubs. The honey one is meant to exfoliate and smooth which it does and it is also good for people who wear a lot of matte lipsticks.

9.NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in 'Morocco' £6 - Of course its summer so you need a pop of colour! I'm not normally a red girl however 'Morocco' is a orange toned red which is super close to Mac Barbeque but a lot cheaper.

I haven't included foundation or concealer purely because I've been on holiday and I have tanned so I haven't had the chance to find a colour to match me. I like my little selection as these products give me opinions due to the black, gold and bronze in the palette and the different lip colours. I hope I gave you some new products to try.
